Oh Happy Days

Updated: Feb 26, 2020
When was the last time you cried because you were truly happy with everything in your life?
Well, for me, the last time I cried from pure joy of being truly happy with my life was a few moments ago. You see, after many many long years of crying because of unhappiness, with random sprinkles of tears of joy, I have finally shifted. I shifted from crying because I was sad to now crying because I am happy and I can actually finally feel all of the goodness that is in my life now and in the past as well as in the future.
“Positive thinking evokes more energy more initiative more happiness.”
My mind has shifted from its normalcy of negativity to a consistent reality of a positive mindset. They say that your attitude is contagious and I am pleased that I finally feel as though my attitude is worth catching and spreading to others. With my consistent practice of positive thinking came more energy for me to take the initiative to take action which in return has given me more happiness. Whereas once upon a time I would allow my negative thoughts to control my mind, I now purposefully replace any negative chatter within my mind with multiple positive affirmations.
For example. Let's say that someone has made me upset while we are on the phone. Before, I would become very defensive and argumentative. I use to tell myself that I loved arguing. Now what happens when you tell yourself you love to argue, you attract more arguments and things to argue about. Why would anyone ever say that they love to argue with people they love especially if they aren't lawyers? My life attracted more reasons to argue. Now, when someone makes me upset while on the phone, I continue to listen to what they are saying, but I tune their words out and start chanting, "I am confident, I am powerful, I am enough" while slowly inhaling and exhaling. I have learned to inhale the negative and exhale positive rather than inhaling negativity and exhaling even more or worse negativity. I repeat my chant about 3 to 4 times until I feel better, then I will calmly say, "You're right" and hope that the subject would change. Because guess what, no one can argue by themselves  at least they don 't enjoy it. If there is one thing you can take from this exercise please take away that, you have control over who and what angers you, for who angers you controls you. If you don't allow yourself to be angered, you keep your control.
“Happiness…is when we realize how blessed we are for what we have.”
I am so happy and so grateful now that I am consistently positive and happy with myself. I always believed that I could change. Ask, believe and receive! I realize how bless I am and I have a sincere appreciation for all that I currently have in my life. I am appreciative of my past, my present and my future. I have always believed and will always believe that it is already done and that God has my life already written out and I am living according to His word. I am so very thankful that God kept me. I have done so many things that could have gotten me really messed up, but God kept me. I have hurt many people, but God kept me. I have been hurt by many people, but God kept me. God kept me to fulfill my purpose, my passion and my poetry. God kept me to inspire, uplift and motivate the world through the power of my words. My stories and testimonies are for me to share and I will proudly continue to shine my light bright for the entire world to capture.
“Remember where you have been and know where you are going. Life is not a race, but a
journey to be savored each step of the way.”
“Stop worrying about what you have to lose, and start focusing on what you have to gain”
No longer will I be focused on the what if it doesn't work out because I now know that it is better to feel and think and believe, what if it works out!
We have to quit asking people what's wrong. Instead, let's start asking people, what's right? Begin attracting more of what's right. What's right in your life? What's working in your life? What are you looking forward to in your life on this journey?
“Never let a stumble in the road be the end of your journey.”
Always focus on the positive. Always focus on the good. If you stumble along the way, think of all the tremendously great things that will happen when you get back up! Be grateful that you can get back up again. Be grateful for your life. Attract more greatness in your life by focusing on the greatness that is indeed your beautifully glorious life provided by our Father God.
I graciously thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts. Thoughts become things. Energy flows where energy goes. I am destined for greatness. Always have been, always will be. I thank you.
