Perpetual Love, Light & Power: Honoring the Life of Bishop Troy Sanders
September 25, 1977 ~ April 19, 2025
Bishop Troy Sanders, like a towering, mighty oak tree planted by the rivers of water. Roots deeply connecting in the earth alongside the sandy road of Denmark, SC. Inviting God's favor to continue to abound in the streams of blood, sweat and tears shed for pioneering purpose throughout these years. Honey Ford Baptist, as a young boy slain in the spirit and preaching, growing up to be a pastor and professor. The elevation of Troy’s soul tapping into the moaning and groanings, at times, unable to speak. Encompassing the love of God. Embodying the love of self. Channeling the love of people. With an unwavering commitment to make room for whosoever will desire to come. Walking in the authority as an ambassador of the Most High One. Tethered between the spirit and the flesh. Infused with hope, well-versed in culture, flowing as living water in peace. We speak, your name…
Perpetual Love, Light & Power (5 29 25) Poem
Inviting God's favor to continue to abound in the streams of blood sweat and tears shed for pioneering purpose these years
Like a towering mighty oak tree planted by the rivers of water
Roots deeply connecting in the earth alongside the sandy road of Denmark, SC
Honey Ford Baptist, as a young boy slain in the spirit
growing up to be a pastor and professor
As Samella Sanders witnesses in the heavenly clouds
As a willing conduit allowing the Spirit of God to freely flow through her spiritual being
Your spiritual being bearing much fruit
Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control
The fruit of your mind, the essence of your thoughts
The elevation of your soul
Tapping into the moaning and groanings, at times, unable to speak
Encompassing the Love of God
Embodying the Love of self
Channeling the Love of people
With an unwavering commitment to make room for whosoever will desire to come
Walking in the authority as an ambassador of the most high one
Tethered between the spirit and the flesh
Infused with hope, Well-versed in culture
flowing as living water in peace
peace, peace be still
Peeling back the layers of one’s self
Raised to this seated position, discernment and outgrowth
Seeing a people and a place
People coming from all spaces and places of life
Coming together to honor our diversity
Without harm nor fear, hearing a sound and seeing a worship
That transcends, people’s backgrounds, titles, individuality
Getting into the river and flow until power and answers come
A returning to the spirituality of our ancestors
Taking it back to where it started from
same Holy Ghost power visits you in one place
while you are in another place and you, there
An outpouring of God’s Spirit, everywhere
People who were the last of the invites to the table, creating a larger table so no one is ever uninvited
A space where Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, Orisha practitioners,
spiritual Baptist, Methodists, and Presbyterians
Come together and fit in, as a wind blows, a river flow
We all can be together
Causing the walls of oppression to come down
The great old giant called racism in America, divides
With God, spiritual children picking up spiritual weapons to fight in the spirit
Praying till dawn, speaking in tongues
Burning candles, cutting down roots
Binding up the strong man
Watching liberation breakout in America, in the world
Seeing the feet anchored in the journey
Of every woman, man, boy and girl
For beautiful are the feet of them that stand as God’s messengers in the earth
Indescribable undeniable joy of the Lord
Knowing your worth
Reminder to mindfully place our heaviest concerns
in the open hands of God, receiving God's truth in return
Peace, provision, protection
Wise beyond years
Hidden in the Pavilion of God
Set high upon a rock
An appetite, a hunger to exemplify
The unification of all of God's people through love itself
Finding nourishment and fulfillment in a sacrifice of praise
For heavy is the head that wears the crown
Capturing the hearts of the masses and doing it now
The epitome of love thy neighbor as you love thyself
Contagious attitude of loving the Lord
Yet God still called you by name
Transforming pain into purpose
Trauma into triumph
Choosing love and trust over fear
Overcoming struggles as stepping stones to success
Walking in the sunshine of God’s love
For God is love
Resting in the assurance that God is with you
With a posture of thanksgiving, a spirit of revival
Sacred rite of passage from your mother's womb
Surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses
Aligning self with God's creation, elders and ancestors
Bishop Wyatt I Greenlee
Thank you, thank God
Calling upon the powers of heaven
The Earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof
A charge to keep I have
A God to glorify
A living sacrifice
For It's already done
It is already written
Ask, believe, receive
Wisdom, downloaded
Elevated, full manifestation of our being
God's anointed masterpiece
Sculpted, dedicated and dictated by the mighty hands of a timeless God
Good and very good
The power of Sankofa
Go back, go back, going back and get it
Reclaiming that which was lost
Taken backwards to bring you forward
In highest ascension
One flame, Love God
One flame, Love Self
One flame, Love People
Carried by the many gifted lifted hands of
Rehoboth Fellowship Atlanta
Answering the Clarion call to love all of God’s creation the way God loves us, unconditionally
To love God, love self and love people
In love, if we do what we can do and do our best,
God will do what we cannot do,
God will take care of the rest
You are perpetual love, light and power
God touched you and made you whole before your conception
Your answer was yes, yes Lord out of your mother's womb
Anchored in the Spirit
A pure and powerful prism, reflecting God's Love
Agape, Imago de
Rejoicing in gladness
To freely dance upon the colors of the rainbow
And just live life like it's golden, no, platinum
Smiling widely, brightly as an eagerly curious child
Soaking up God's love as a sponge
Basking in the Son, Jesus
People will know us based on the love we show one another
Tap into the deep silence
Listen for the beat of the Yoruba Sakara and talking drum
As a heart's beat
Connecting us to the familiar
Your laugh, your wisdom, your evolution
Our inheritance awaits
Freedom to love
Freedom to forgive
Freedom to escape, the bondage
Your perpetual love, light and power
Enlightened our spiritual transformation
Life, healing, peace, victory percolating from your gifted hands and prophetic voice
Elevating the masses with a profound word from God
The choice; choose life
A life, well lived
A job, well done
Good and faithful servant
You won, the highest victory
A beacon of positive energy
Your Anointed words soaking into every nook and cranny and crevice of our soul
Igniting our imagination as the world watches the blessed unfold
One flame, Love God
One flame, Love Self
One flame, Love People
Carried by the many gifted lifted hands of
Rehoboth Fellowship Atlanta
one flame writes the vision
one flame continues the legacy
many hands never dropping the torch
Whosoever believeth in Him
As we draw closer to the God of our understanding
enveloped in the light of the Divine
Driving out darkness and permeating us with perpetual peace to shine
Our light, In this season, all things will be new
As the unplanned, unexpected and unprecedented surprises
challenge our Rehoboth Family standing strong
While igniting imaginations in times of adversity
And igniting imaginations watching the unexpected unfold
Re-dreaming those dreams you thought were unattainable
God has made room for us to continuously grow
One flame, Love
One flame, Light
One flame, Hope
One flame, Peace
One flame, Rehoboth
Carried by many hands
This we understand
Bishop Troy’s resting in perpetual love, light and power
Your legacy, one flame, carried by many hands.
Ase' Amen
