I HAVE CLARITY, DO YOU?

We must clear our minds in order to properly focus on what's important in our lives. Make the time to take the time to have clarity in all areas of your life. Breathe, relax, clear your mind of the clutter of the day to day and free yourself! I have clarity, do you?
Life is really all about the choices that we all make as individuals. You can choose to be happy just as you can choose to be sad. You can choose to be angry just as you can choose to be glad. The choice is yours. What is the best choice for you?
I know there are many people who will protest that they wouldn't choose to be unhappy but I am here to get in your face to tell you that yes, you did choose to be unhappy. We control how we react to situations.
Joel Osteen once said, "Every day we have plenty of opportunities to get angry, stressed or offended. But what you're doing when you indulge these negative emotions is giving something outside of yourself power over your happiness. You can choose to not let little things upset you." I will also add, you can choose to not let bigger things upset you.
Life is all about how we choose to react and the degree of our choices. Would you rather be happy or would you rather be sad? If there was a contest and there were prizes behind door number one and door number two, if you knew that behind door number one was happiness and behind door number two was sadness, would you intentionally pick door number two? Of course you wouldn't. So why pick door number two, sadness; in any area of your life?
I have been on a consistent journey to happiness for the past two years. I have found things that have worked for me as well as some things that just didn't help me out or so I thought. I started reciting affirmations September 1, 2015. I started with the 30 day affirmation challenge by Brian Tracy where each day you have to repeat the day's affirmation as often as you can throughout the day for 30 days. I did as recommended by Mr. Tracy for 30 days. I even created visualizations to post on Instagram as well as rallied a few of my friends to complete the challenge with me. Once the challenge was over, I wanted to continue. I didn't want to continue with repeating the previous month. I decided to come up with my own monthly challenges.
In November of 2015 I created the 30 day gratitude challenge. In December of 2015 I created the 31 day goal challenge. I continued to create monthly challenges. Within the first two months I came up with the idea to create a book of affirmations. I have since started to write my very own book of affirmations that contain my own daily affirmations. My book is due to be released Spring 2018.
The crazy thing is that I have been on this consistent journey to happiness but it wasn't until October 2017 that I realized that I am really just now coming into my own happiness. I use to think that pleasing other people was my key to happiness. If I made others happy then in return it would make me happy. I was going about it in the wrong frame of mind. I had to re-frame my picture of what I thought happiness looked like; reset my mindset.
True, Booker T. Washington said, "in order to lift yourself up, you have to lift up others." But what I was missing was the way to go about creating my happiness. For me, it was not about doing for others in the sense of giving them things and money and my interpretation of love. Rather it was more about loving myself first in order to show people the best example of how to love me in return. This is were my happiness would come to stay.
I was misguided for so many years. Even with reciting the affirmations that I created, I found that I was not consistent. Consistency is the key to a very successful life. If you want something, you have to work hard at it every single day. Besides procrastination, my biggest flaw was staying and being consistent. I was definitely focused on the wrong things in my life instead of being focused on what was right about my life.
I was so focused on my lack and where I wasn't in my life that I was steady creating more and more lack and scarcity in my life and my future. I found myself stuck in the mud of complacency. I joined morning affirmation calls and morning prayer calls and still I felt like I wasn't doing something right. I spoke to a life coach and started changing my appearance to feel better about myself and how I spoke about myself and I still felt like I was missing something. I made new friends and made baby steps to become more social and still I was missing something.
I had always felt as though I was depressed and I was well aware of my anxiety issues surrounding facing my fears, but it wasn't until mid 2017 that I was professionally told that I may be suffering from depression. Now I have had so many negative things occur in my life, so I knew the possibilities of being depressed, but I always just played with the word depression. But depression is real. Depression can cause some people to literally lose their minds. I have felt lost a many time. I have felt alone a many time. Being told this literally made my life get so much realer. A mind is a terrible thing to waste and I didn't want to lose my mind let alone waste it.
I knew that I could no longer just talk about what I wanted to do. I knew that I could not continue to focus on the bad. I knew that I had to focus on the goodness inside of my life and be very thankful for all that I had in my life and all the many things that I had accomplished prior. I had to find my clarity.
I knew that once I found my positive mindset, I would find my consistent happiness. It was always and will always be about my mindset. I would always say that I had a battle between my negative and positive thoughts where the negative tend to always win. Well guess what, because I had that type of mental thinking, I continued to attract more and more negative thoughts. Every thing that had to happen up to this point had to occur for me to appreciate my true happiness.
For the past two months I have made it my number one priority goal to create a consistent positive mindset. I am proud to say that I have been consistent for two consecutive months with my positive self-talk, affirmations, prayer and meditation, exercise and conquering my fears. I will go beyond two months and radiate my positive mindset for as long as I shall be blessed to walk this earth. I even have people consistently praying for my consistent positive mindset. I continue to expand my mind daily to secure my clarity and positive frame of mind. I have found my very own mentor whom I can look at and see myself in her and her in myself. I can now mirror her actions and take more action with my everyday life to create a better life for myself and those around me. I have also started a gratitude journal in which I write the things I am thankful for each and every day. I learn various ways to be grateful and to show my appreciation everyday.
I take more time out for myself. I listen more to myself. I love myself more than I've ever loved myself before. I sit and listen to nature and watch the beautiful things that surround me. I have a better appreciation for my life and life itself.
When I tell you that I feel so much better mentally, emotionally and physically, words can't begin to describe my joy. I am literally happiness. I am happy because I am focused on what makes me happier, my positive mindset.
Of course there are going to be times where it is difficult to stay happy, and of course there are always bumps along your journey to your best self, but how you choose to react to the bumps, lumps, dumps and humps is what will make all the difference.
Choose to be your best self. Choose to be happy. Choose to be positive. Choose to focus on what you do want. Choose to have an attitude of gratitude. Don't choose to stay in a situation that doesn't make you happy. Don't choose to react negatively to what others have to say about you. Don't focus on what you don't want to happen. Take action, be action and stay in action to be who you were always meant to be. Learn how to develop the negatives into beautifully positive pictures of your wonderfully blessed life!
Remember that you too can change who you are. Someone else's perception of you doesn't determine who you are. Other people's opinion and perception of you is none of your business. How you feel about me has zero to do with how I feel about myself. What matters is how I feel about myself and how I treat myself. I won't ever again in life feel less than who I am today. My playing small and feeling small does not serve me. I can actually feel within me the power of positive affirmations and the power of gratitude. It is more than just reciting words. I am confident. I am powerful. I am enough! No longer will I shine any less to please others. I rebuke and cancel any/every negativity that has been sent out against me, my family and my friends. For I was born to shine my light for the entire world to see. I am going to continue to shine my light every single day for the rest of my days because I have clarity, do you?
