Your future is created by what you do today, not tomorrow.
Why put off tomorrow what you can do today?
The struggle you're in today is developing the strength you need for tomorrow.
Do something today that your future self will thank you for. Stop wishing and start doing. When you want to succeed as much as you want to breathe, that's when you will be successful. When you want something you've never had, then you've got to do something you've never done. Make the rest of your life, the best of your life. START LIVING YOUR LIFE FEARLESSLY.
I use to always find myself being told by someone else that my actions don't always align with my words. I use to take offense. I would be stuck thinking to myself, "what do they mean"? It use to truly hurt my feelings to know that people felt that I was all talk about what I was going to do in my life. They didn't understand that there was a method to why I wasn't moving as swiftly as others thought I should. One person use to always comment on my posts that I am just continuing to waste away behind the desk in the office I worked years in. She honestly felt as many do, that I was wasting my talent sitting in the office. It would sometimes make me mad, but then I had to think about it deeply. Why are you mad? Why are you getting in your feelings simply because someone believes in you more than you believe in yourself?
I didn't have a right to get mad. I had the right to listen to what she was saying and accept her faith in me and my talents, understanding that all this time she meant well. One day I posted that "something great is going to happen to me this week". She commented, " not as long as you are still at that desk." I was furious about what she wrote. Never mind the fact that at this desk I had finished a four-year university degree, published two books, and much more while sitting at this desk. At the time I had published 2 books. She was waiting on my third. It wasn't until several years after she left that I published my third book. The point that I am making here is that we mustn't let how others feel about where they feel we should be in life negatively influence how we feel about our own lives.
She probably will never know that I struggled with complacency, stress, unhappiness, depression because of my job and the lack of choices that I made and the wrong choice I made. She probably will never know that I was scared for years of failure and seriously afraid of succeeding. She will probably never know that what she considered to be helping me, was really hurting me.
Looking back on how she made me feel, I realize that she was right all the while. Why was I continuing to waste away at a dead end job? Why was I afraid to fail and or succeed. It wasn't until recent that I also was reminded that while I'm not making moves because I was afraid of failing, I was in return actually failing because I wasn't making any moves. Being so afraid has kept me from getting my just, getting blessed, completing what God has destined for me to do and have. I was getting in my own way.
I say all this to say that we mustn't keep putting off what we can do today until tomorrow. Our future selves depend on our current action. Doesn't matter if your tired. Doesn't matter if your stressed. Doesn't matter if you are unhappy. We have to get up each and every day and thank the Lord first for allowing us another day at being alive and successful. We won't know the outcome until we try. At this point one of two things can happen. Either you are going to succeed or you are going to fail. But you will always fail if you never ever try. Don't be afraid to jump and do what you need to do to make your life happy for yourself.
As of late, I would rather no longer take up offense and just follow through with my words with definite actions. We can speak all day long, but if we are not applying our thoughts and the things that are within our minds, at a certain point it is pointless to keep talking. Our future will always depend strongly on what we do about the now, today. My goal is to have people, like the woman I mentioned earlier and others who have told me that I have no follow through with my plans, no longer be able to say those types of things to me because I will be shaking and moving consistently. I will be completing and accomplishing my goals consistently. I will be writing and performing and formulating my next moves to make them my best moves consistently.
No one will be able to tell me that I am stagnant. No one will be able to tell me that I don't have action plans and that I am not making moves. The only things that people will start to say to me is, "man, you stay busy don't you?" Yes, yes I stay busy all the time because I have wasted too much time and years on sitting and being still.
