Love
When you'd walk through the fire to keep
The desire to remain as it is in the beginning
You know, when you first start dating
When you'd walk through the fire to keep
The desire to be so sweetly unique
When you'd swim across the deepest oceans
Knowing you can barely swim and are afraid of drowning
Just to get close to their love
The love that is unconditional
The love that would encourage you to be strong
In moments of uncertainty
Love pulls you in close
You burrow yourself into its chest
Nestled safely
Listening to the rhythmic sound
Of Love's heartbeat Thump thump thump thump
Thump thump
You gaze up
Things have changed
Some times aren't easy
Some times aren't nice
Love shouldn't be this hard
Why when I try to envision your face?
From my mind, the memories don't place
Like the taste of your lips
Never once kissed
Still, it is you that I miss
Does your love for me, from your heart escape?
Loving isn't supposed to be categorized as complicated
Why as people do we make it so damn hard?
When loving me got you this far
I ask myself over and over again
Marcia, why is it that we just can't be friends?
Is it that I love you entirely too much?
Is it that I can't live and breathe without your touch?
When the efforts that you give aren't enough
The pain increases
Like decreases
Leaving us in restless sleep
Forgiveness are words that we speak
Loving is supposed to be easy
So why do we make it so damn hard?
When loving you got me this far
Forgiveness are words that we speak
But are these words that we actually feel?
Starting to feel as if your mind's record is stuck on sorry
Performing unforgivable offenses
Solely because you know I will say okay
God is love
If only we could have loved each other His way
The righteous thing is to forgive you
He has forgiven me
Unfortunately, I haven't conquered forgiveness past my words
To the point that I can forgive you
I just no longer would walk through the fire of desire for you
No longer would I swim across the world for you
Love
l don't desire the kind of love where you would die for me
On several occasions, I nearly died for the lies of you
Living for another individual is 10 times harder
Would you live for me?
Would you live your life to its fullest, for me?
I'll do you one even better, for yourself
Would you live for you?
Live Love Laugh for you
First, then you can properly love the next
Praying for the wisdom of love's forgiveness
To forgive and forget an ex
